Worship Team

At River of Life, we try to make every ministry reflect the value we place on discipleship. For our worship team, this means we aren’t just leading songs, we are actively raising up and equipping musicians to serve and lead worship. If you are interested in being a part of our team, we want to help you develop your musical abilities and your walk with the Lord. Our team exists to serve the congregation through creating environments of intimacy with God, celebration, and whole-hearted worship. We want all eyes to be on God, and we want to sing songs that activate our hearts to engage in giving Him the attention and praise He deserves.

Worship in House Churches:
Worship is a foundational part of participating in a house church gathering. Paul's instructions to the church as they gathered was to "18...be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. " - Eph 5:18-20. We record new worship sets to be used alongside the sermon almost every week, but also encourage each house church to use the gifts present in their group. If a group has a musically capable leader, they are encourage to use that gifts to lead the group occasionally or regularly.

First Sunday Services and Third Wednesday Worship/Prayer
For Sunday mornings, we schedule a rotation of musicians to allow for more people to be a part of the team. This provides needed breaks and opportunities to worship simply as part of the congregation. The schedule is determined by Pastor Jeff based on need, skill level, availability, and demonstrated heart for worship. The team meets at 8:30am on Sunday morning, for sound check, prayer, and run through.
